Shareholders and Management

A10 Auction House, part of Artmark, operates as a commercial company fully owned (100%) by Artmark Holding. The House is led by Horia-Roman Patapievici, President, and the Board of Directors composed of Sorin Paul Suciu (Chief Executive Officer), Luciana Matei (Chief Operating Officer), Eliza Leșanu (CSR & Brand Director), Carmen Grădinaru (Chief Financial Officer), Cezar Burlan (Sales & Art Advisory Director), and Ionuț Albu (Managing Partner, Art Games).

Horia-Roman PATAPIEVICI
Chairman of the Board of Directors
  • Physicist, author, scientific researcher of physics, independent researcher of the history of ideas, cultural manager.
  • Member of the Group for Social Dialogue and of the Writers’ Union.
  • Former President of the Romanian Cultural Institute (2005-2012).

Sorin Suciu
Chief Executive Officer Artmark Holding
  • Graduate of the Executive MBA ASEBUSS & Kennesaw State University program and ENVISIA – Boards of Elite scholarship recipient, he strongly believes in the power of collaboration, responsibility, and continuous development.
  • With over 25 years of experience in the financial-banking field and strategic management, he has gone through a complex professional journey – from operational roles, to risk and sales management in Retail and Corporate Banking, up to leadership positions at national and European level.
  • Throughout his career, he coordinated transformation processes, built high-performance teams and contributed to the development of healthy organizations oriented towards sustainable impact.
  • Currently, he is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Artmark Holding and a member of the Artmark Board of Directors, combining strategic vision with passion for people development and organizational culture.
Luciana MATEI
Chief Operating Officer
  • Graduate of the Faculty of Psychology, she joined the Artmark team from the very beginning;
  • Passionate mainly about people and the way they relate to each other, she became involved across all departments, going step by step through the company’s structure, both hierarchically and strategically;
  • Today she is the Chief Operating Officer of the House and part of the Board of Directors, being an excellent organizer.
Eliza Leșanu
CSR & Brand Director
  • She graduated in Law and Communication, and for 19 years worked within Intact Media Group, learning that the greatest investment is people.
  • Passionate about negotiation techniques, political and electoral marketing, grammar, people management, Brâncuși, crisis management, history and especially stained glass, she naturally stepped into the world of arts with enthusiasm and dedication.
  • She has been part of Artmark since 2015, and currently holds the position of CSR & Brand Director, coordinates the charitable auctions of the House, hosts events in the Cesianu-Racoviță Palace and is a member of the Artmark Board of Directors.
Carmen Grădinaru
Chief Financial Officer Artmark Holding
  • Graduate of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, where she completed both her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and her Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Audit, with continuous professional development including international programs (FMVA® – CFI, Vancouver, Canada; Oxford Executive Finance Programme, Oxford, UK). Carmen has over 15 years of experience in the financial field, coordinated complex reporting, budgeting, strategic business planning and performance analysis processes for multinational companies in industries such as oil & gas or green energy, and was part of management teams where she developed integrated financial reporting systems, implemented internal control policies and supervised group financial closing processes.
  • She is recognized for her strategic approach, analytical mindset and professional integrity, managing to turn numbers into business decisions and to build efficient bridges between financial departments and operational teams.
  • Since 2025 she joined Artmark as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Artmark Holding, coordinating the financial strategy of the group and contributing to the sustainable development of the company. She is also a member of the Artmark Board of Directors.
Cezar Burlan
Sales & Art Advisory Director
  • Graduate of the Faculty of Energetics of UPB Bucharest, the non-practicing engineer with an artist’s heart and passion for beauty switched to consultative sales in the advertising industry.
  • With patience, eloquence and perseverance he taught others to embrace this field as well, coordinating Sales and Advertising departments within major Romanian media groups.
  • In 2019 he changed direction and joined the Artmark team, adapting the art of selling to the A10 by Artmark Auction House. Ever since, he contributed to the development and strengthening of the collectors and art investors portfolio, coordinated the art consulting team in organizing reference auctions and obtaining record sales for Romanian artists, refined the strategic and analytical approach of art selling and contributed to consolidating Artmark’s position as leader of the Romanian art auction market through innovation, professionalism and dedication. Today he successfully coordinates the Art Consulting team of A10 by Artmark and is a member of the Artmark Board of Directors.
Ionuț Albu
Managing Partner Art Games
  • In 2008 he joined the Artmark Auction House, being one of the first three members of the team, for which he developed the first online auction software in Europe (2011), revolutionizing the art market, as well as the first international tailor-made business management (ERP) software solution for auction houses (2015).
  • In 2013 he founded his own IT start-up, and since 2018 dedicated himself to developing the first online platform for participation in general shareholders’ meetings – the EVOTE platform.
  • Today he is Managing Partner of Art Games, a Romanian software company specialized in online auction programs, and a member of the Artmark Board of Directors.
Iulian PLEȘTIU
Country Representative Artmark Croatia
  • Art historian and graduate of the Faculty of History at the University of Bucharest, he organized and led the Research and Documentation Department since the very first year of Artmark, then, being passionate about Graphic Design and Editing, he coordinated the Artmark Graphic & DTP Department.
  • Currently he is Country Representative Artmark Croatia, organizing the first international Artmark branch in Zagreb.
Ruxandra DUMITRU
Country Manager Bulgaria
  • She studied Art History at the University of Bucharest and International Economic Relations at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.
  • She joined the Artmark Consignment & Evaluation Department in 2013 and led the Classic & Modern Art Consignment Department from 2017 onwards.
  • In 2020 she organized and curated the exhibition “Gheorghe Petrașcu – About the Charm of Reality” within Art Safari.
  • Since 2022 she is Country Manager Artmark Bulgaria, joining the development team of the Artmark branch in Sofia.
